Disaster Support
1.Establishment of the Disaster Multilingual Support Center
In order to promptly provide necessary information to foreign residents affected by a large-scale disaster, the Fukuoka Prefecture Disaster Multilingual Support Center will be established in cooperation with Fukuoka Prefectural Government, and will provide interpretation and translation support upon request from affected municipalities, as well as distribute multilingual disaster information in multiple languages.
Main operations

(1) Provide of disaster-related information in multiple languages
- ・Information regarding Disaster Prevention App ‘Mamoru-kun’
- ・Information provided on the website of the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation
※As a rule, both (1) and (2) are available in four languages: English, Chinese, Korean, and easy Japanese.

(2) Support through interpreters, translators, etc. necessary for responding to foreign residents in disaster affected municipalities
- ・Collecting information on the situation of foreign nationals from the disaster affected municipalities
- ・Support request from disaster affected municipalities
- Multilingual information support in the event of a disaster
- Interpretation and translation necessary for evacuation center operations
- Dispatching of volunteer interpreters and translators to the site during a disaster
