The Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation has a volunteer system to promote international exchange with foreign nationals by making the best use of the abilities of the citizens of the prefecture.
(1) "Homestay and Home Visit Volunteers" help promote an understanding of Japan for foreign nationals
through an experience of Japanese family life
(2) "Interpreter and translator volunteers" help
with simple interpretation and translation during non-profit activities relating to international
exchange
(3) Among the "interpreter and translator volunteers" in (2) above, there are
"disaster interpreter and translator volunteers" who cooperate with simple interpretation and
translation in the event of a disaster.
