There are many organizations engaged in international exchange and international cooperation in Fukuoka. We share information about them on our homepage, so please take a look.

Can I leave leaflets/flyers for events at the FUKUOKA IS OPEN Center?
We can put out leaflets/flyers with information for the purpose of international exchange and support for foreign nationals in the Information Corner of the FUKUOKA IS OPEN Center. Please enquire at the reception.
Please note that as the FUKUOKA IS OPEN Center is a public facility operated by the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation, we cannot share information relating to commercial purposes, politics, religion, etc. in the Information Corner.
I would like to use a national flag at an event. Can I borrow it?
The Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation lends out national flags to schools, international exchange groups, NPOs, etc. in the prefecture. Please see the Flag Borrowing page for more information.
Please tell me about the Fukuoka EU Association.
The Fukuoka EU Association is a friendship association that promotes mutual understanding and friendship between Fukuoka Prefecture and the EU, and has administrative offices in the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation and Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc.
There is a reception at the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation on the 8th floor of ACROS Fukuoka, where you can apply for membership. Please see the Fukuoka EU Association website for details on activities.
Do you have information about studying abroad?
At the FUKUOKA IS OPEN Center on the 3rd floor of the ACROS Building you can find materials related to studying abroad. Please feel free to browse.
I just came to Japan and would like to learn Japanese.
Volunteers hold Japanese language classes at the FUKUOKA IS OPEN Center, as well as other parts of Fukuoka Prefecture.

I want to ask about many things, but I can't speak much Japanese. Can I consult in languages other than Japanese?
At the “FUKUOKA IS OPEN Center” on the 3rd floor of ACROS Fukuoka, you can consult in 24 languages including English and Japanese. In addition to in-person consultation at the reception counter, you can also consult by phone or e-mail. Consultations are free of charge, and there is no charge for telephone calls, so please feel free to use this service if you have any questions or problems that you would like to ask about.
As well as being able to consult with immigration and employment specialists directly, there are periodically seminars held by lawyers and attorneys, so please make use of these.

A foreign national I know is looking for a job in Fukuoka. Can you introduce them to any?
You can ask about consultations and introductions to jobs for foreign nationals on Tuesdays at the FUKUOKA IS OPEN Center from 13:00 – 17:00, when staff from the Fukuoka Employment Service Center for Foreigners are available.
Additionally, information on part-time jobs and employment support after graduation for international students also is provided at the Fukuoka International Student Support Center (FiSSC) within the FUKUOKA IS OPEN Center.
How can I find medical institutions that can speak to me in languages other than Japanese?
On the Fukuoka Medical Center website, you can search in English for medical institutions that speak foreign languages. In addition, the "Fukuoka International Medical Support Center" can introduce you to medical institutions that support foreign languages and those that provide medical interpretation services, information on medical institutions in Fukuoka Prefecture, information on the Japanese medical system, and medical institutions that can provide phone interpretation.

How can I work at the Fukuoka International Exchange Foundation?
When there is a shortage of employees, such as in the case of a staff member leaving, the foundation will advertise on the homepage.
