Q & A and Closing of the meeting

(Introduction of each country)

Kazakhstan:   Ms. Aranat took us on a virtual journey and introduced us to Kazakhstan’s ethnic groups, athletes, living environment (traditional house Yurt), natural environment, and traditional string instrument dombra.

In particular, she introduced the traditional stringed instrument “Dombra”, which is the heart and soul of the Kazakh people and most of the Kazakh people can play it. Ms. Aranat played the dombra with her singing voice.

Her singing voice and tone touched our hearts.

Participant’s voice

· I learned for the first time how large the country is. The video showing how the yurt is put together made it easy to visualize.

· The ethnic costumes that the teacher wore were wonderful.

· When I heard that they have the same four seasons as Japan, I felt this familiarity and the scenery shown to us was beautiful. However, I was surprised to hear that the temperature ranged from -40 to 40 degrees Celsius.

· It made me want to go and visit Kazakhstan.

Uzbekistan: Ms. Kamolova introduced the language, education, food, and traditional clothing of Uzbekistan. In particular, she had brought about four traditional clothing with her, and she explained the purpose of each one. She also explained in an easy-to-understand manner about the “Doppa,” a square shaped hat that is worn on the head when wearing the traditional clothing.

Participant’s voice

· I enjoyed the talk because she asked questions so that everyone could enjoy the talk.

· She put a “Doppa” on the MC’s head which looked well on him and easy to see how it looks on somebody.

· She showed us Uzbekistan fan and its shape is completely different from a Japanese fan.

· It made me want to go and visit Uzbekistan when I can travel again.
