Exchange activities with the Kenjinkais

We are engaged in various exchange projects in order to support human resources who will lead the next generation of Overseas Fukuoka Kenjinkai, revitalize the Kenjinkai, as well as utilize the Kenjinkai network to promote and expand exchange between Fukuoka Prefecture and all parts of the world in various fields.

Short Term Visit Program for Descendants of Immigrants from Fukuoka Prefecture

This is a project to invite children (upper grades of elementary school) whose parents are members of a Overseas Fukuoka Kenjinkai to Fukuoka Prefecture for about two weeks to raise their interest in and deepen their understanding of Fukuoka.

So far, more than 200 children have been invited, and through various experiences in the prefecture, the children are proud of their roots in Fukuoka, and after returning home, they seem to have changed and become more enthusiastic about studying Japanese and participated in Japanese taiko group practice etc. Hoping that they will play active roles as successors to the activities of the Kenjinkai in the future.

Youth Mission Program (2014~2019)

This is a project to send young people from Fukuoka prefecture to Overseas Fukuoka Kenjinkai to learn about the history of the ancestors who emigrated overseas, the local social situation, and business conditions.

So far, more than 40 young people have been dispatched, and the young people who participated heard about the hardships of those who migrated overseas and reminiscences of Japan and Fukuoka, and by interacting with the local young people, they gain a spirit of challenge and a global perspective.

Hoping that they will play an active role as a bridge between Fukuoka Prefecture and Kenjinkai, as well as Japan and countries with Kenjinkai in the future.

Kenjinkai Network Utilization seminar 2014(Heisei26)-

Using the network of Fukuoka Prefectural residents centering on Overseas Fukuoka Kenjinkai, we invite people from Fukuoka Prefecture who are active in the world as lecturers to hold seminars for young people.

International Talent Raising Project in Collaboration with Overseas Fukuoka Kenjinkais (2022~)

This project, in collaboration with Overseas Fukuoka Kenjinkais around the world, sends students from universities in Fukuoka Prefecture to regions where Overseas Fukuoka Kenjinkais are active, allowing them to experience international business in a range of different fields.

The goal of this project is to raise an internationalized workforce in Japan who will be active on the world stage.
